We’re inviting karting enthusiasts to join us for a team endurance race on Friday 25th October to raise money for the charity Absolutely Together.
The event will feature teams racing on our dual-level indoor track, driving Sodi GT5 karts capable of reaching speeds of 45 mph, as they compete to see who can complete 100 laps in the fastest time.
Absolutely Together provides free leisure activities for children and young people with additional needs. As well as complimentary sessions at Absolutely Karting, where participants can use our specially adapted twin-seat karts, the charity also provides vouchers for outings and experiences at various attractions. Funds raised from the endurance race will enable Absolutely Together to support even more local families.
Naomi Smith from Absolutely Karting commented:
“Financial and physical barriers often leave young people who have additional needs and their families feeling isolated and excluded, which can negatively impact their mental health and limit their ability to stay active. Absolutely Together is dedicated to changing this by offering free access to exciting activities and experiences.
“We look forward to welcoming teams to our fundraising event. Whether a family team or a group of friends or work colleagues would like to take part in the race, it’s a great way to have fun and help us raise money for Absolutely Together.”
The event costs £200 for each team with a minimum of two and maximum of five drivers aged 14 years and over per team. The fees and all the money raised during the evening will be donated to Absolutely Together. The race starts at 7pm on Friday 25th October, with teams arriving at 6.15pm for a practise lap and safety briefing. Teams can book their place on the starting grid here.
