Young racers get green light as Maidenhead track brings new experience to region

Our Maidenhead track is delighted to launch Whizz Karts, a brand-new go karting experience for children aged 4 to 8 years old. As the first venue in the region to offer go karting for this age group, we’re giving young motorsport enthusiasts a chance to experience racing in a safe and exciting environment.

The new electric Whizz Karts feature adjustable speeds, which are controlled by our instructors, as well as roll bars, safety bumpers, and seat belts. Each child will be provided with a helmet and a race suit and will receive a full safety briefing and instructions before entering the track.

Whizz Karts will have exclusive use of a track that we have redesigned with children in mind. The track features safety barriers throughout and a layout that is suitable for younger drivers.

Naomi Smith from Absolutely Karting commented:

“Go karting is recognised as a fantastic way for aspiring racers to hone their skills and get a taste of the excitement of motorsport – current Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen, for example, started racing go karts at the age of 4. However, there is a real lack of opportunities for younger children to experience the thrill of go karting in the UK, so we are delighted to be able to offer this exciting new experience.

“Safety is paramount, and we have taken every precaution to ensure that the Whizz Karts and the track are specifically tailored to young drivers – we look forward to welcoming younger racers.”

The Whizz Karts are available for both birthday parties and walk-in sessions, where children can race against their friends in a fun and competitive environment. Bookings can here.
