Absolutely Karting – Terms and Conditions 

 

Arrival 

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive 45 minutes before your karting booking time, unless otherwise stated in your confirmation email. All drivers must attend a safety briefing before being allowed to drive. 
  • Late Arrivals: Failure to arrive on time will result in a loss of track time, with no refunds provided. 

 

Safety Requirements 

  • Mandatory Equipment: Balaclavas and gloves must be worn when racing. If you do not bring your own, these can be hired or purchased upon arrival. Race suits and helmets are provided free of charge. 
  • Footwear: All drivers must wear appropriate footwear (e.g., no open-toe shoes). Trainers or similar footwear are recommended. 
  • Prohibited Substances: All drivers must be free of alcohol, illegal substances, or prescription medication that would impair their ability to drive safely. 

 

Requirements for Minors 

  • Parent/Guardian Consent: Drivers under 18 years of age, without a driver’s license, must have a parent or legal guardian sign them in upon arrival. 
  • Neck Braces: Children must wear neck braces while driving. These are provided by Absolutely Karting. 
  • Age and Height Restrictions: 
  • Drivers must be aged 14 or over to use an adult kart or participate in special events or full race meetings. 
  • Cadet drivers (aged 8–13) must be deemed competent by staff to drive the karts. In rare cases, if a driver poses a safety risk, they may be removed from the circuit. 
  • The minimum height for cadet drivers is 1.3 metres. 
  • The minimum height for adult drivers is 1.52 metres, and for Whizz drivers, 90cm. 
  • Only children who have completed the Race Academy course are eligible to participate in Cadet Special Events.

Food and Drink 

  • Pre-Ordered Food: Any pre-ordered food and drink will be confirmed upon your arrival. If an item is unavailable, an alternative will be offered. 
  • Food is served after your activity unless otherwise agreed in advance. 

 

Payment Terms 

  • Non-Refundable Payments: All payments for Absolutely Karting bookings are non-refundable. 
  • Rebooking Policy: Rebookings will incur a 20% fee of the total booking cost. Bookings cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled session cannot be rebooked or refunded. 
  • Dropped Drivers/No-Shows: No refunds or compensation will be provided for dropped drivers or no-shows. 
  • Force Majeure: If your booking cannot go ahead due to circumstances outside our control (e.g., extreme weather, condensation on track or other unsafe conditions), we will either: 
  • Move your session to another date/time within 12 months, subject to availability, or 
  • Issue a voucher equal to the value of your booking, valid for 12 months. 
  • Refunds will not be issued in such cases. 
  • Booking Fees: A booking fee of £2.49 applies to all bookings and is subject to change. 

 

Corporate Bookings 

  • Invoices: Companies or organizations can request invoicing for bookings. VAT will be charged on all corporate bookings, including food and beverages. 
  • Event Payment Terms: Events must be paid for as per the terms of the invoice. Failure to meet payment deadlines will result in cancellation. 
  • Driver Numbers: Companies may increase the number of drivers in their booking, which will increase the total event cost. However, the value of the event cannot be reduced once confirmed. 

 

Discount Codes 

  • Discount codes are not valid on offer days or for discounted products. 

 

Behaviour Policy 

  • Conduct: Our staff are committed to providing excellent service but will not tolerate any form of abuse or violence. 
  • Termination of Activity: If a member of your group behaves in a way that is deemed dangerous, disruptive, or distressing to others, Absolutely Karting reserves the right to terminate your activity without notice. No refunds, compensation, or expenses will be provided in such cases. 
  • Right to Refuse Entry: Absolutely Karting reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone at its discretion. 
  • Management Decisions: All decisions made by management are final. 

 

Safety Notice 

Motorsport can be dangerous. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure your safety, accidents can still happen. By participating, you acknowledge that you are present at your own risk. 

Force Majeure – Events Outside Our Control 

Events outside our control include, but are not limited to: 

  • Extreme weather conditions (e.g., rain, snow, or ice) or condensation on the track surface that causes unsafe track conditions or venue inaccessibility. 
  • Other unforeseen events that prevent safe use of the venue. 

In such cases, staff will contact affected customers as early as possible.
