Making a difference with Absolutely Together
Working hard to put smiles on faces
Absolutely Karting is a charitable organisation and a subsidiary of Absolutely Together, a charity that aims to put smiles on the faces of families who have children and young adults with additional needs.
It’s often a struggle for these families to enjoy leisure activities together, whether that’s due to financial or physical restrictions, and we want to do something about that.
We provide free access to leisure activities at a wide range of venues, including Absolutely Karting and our sister sites Absolutely Fitness and Rogue Leisure, but this also includes cinemas, theatres and visitor attractions.
How do we do it?
At our Bristol and Maidenhead tracks we have state-of-the art dual seat karts, which enable children and young adults with additional needs to experience the thrill of driving for themselves. They’re able to have as much or as little control as they are comfortable with and are taken around the track by one of our instructors – who is sure to make this an exhilarating but safe experience.
It also means that their family can join them on the track in our single seat karts and everyone can race against each and enjoy an activity together.
It definitely puts a smile on everyone’s face.
Free karting
Every Saturday morning at our Maidenhead track and Sunday morning at our Bristol venue, families can join us for a karting session. It starts with a short briefing, followed by a 10–15-minute experience on the track. We welcome children from the age of 8 to take part, and they would need to be able to get in and out of the kart with a parent/carer’s assistance.
The session is completely free of charge for your child and your family; however, if you would like a to make a donation towards further Absolutely Together programmes, please feel free to make a contribution on your visit, but this is not compulsory.
